GPS 1 replacement
CHARGE THE DEVICE
The Guardian device is charged with a standard USB charger. It takes about 4 hours to recharge the battery
To charge the battery:
- Connect one side of the USB charging cable to the wall charger and the small connector to the Guardian device.
- Charge the device near a window with good cellular reception, so that data can be regularly transmitted to the app.
- Ensure that the device is charging:
- The blue LED light on the device should be on continuously.
- The battery in the app status bar should be green with a lightning bolt by it.
Before you put the device on your child, always make sure it is turned on by pressing the front buttons of the device. The blue and green lights should momentarily blink.
If the lights are not turning on, unplug the device from the charger and press the on/off button (the small Orange button by the USB port) for a few seconds until the two LEDs start blinking.
Note:
The device’s charging port is not under warranty. We recommend that an adult connects the device to a charger, and not a child.
Attach the charger gently. The bottom side of the connector has an arrow drawn on it. Connect and disconnect the cable in a straight movement without wiggling.
ACTIVATE THE DEVICE
Once you receive your replacement AngelSense device and have charged it for 4 hours, you can activate it in the AngelSense app.
*Please activate your replacement device as soon as you receive it in order to avoid a lapse in coverage. After 7 days, the inactive device’s cellular line will automatically be suspended.
1. Go to the Menu and Choose “Settings” and then “General”
2. Look at the back of your AngelSense device for the device’s ID number and select it in your app.
3. Click “Save”
GAIN COMMUNICATION
- Please try taking the device out in transit at least 1.5 miles outdoors away from charging location. This way the device can fully connect to local towers and GPS in the area.
If your device does not gain communication after taking it out, the potential reasons are:
- No cellular coverage (distance from the provider’s cell tower and the load on it), in which case the green LED light will blink. In this case, contact us providing this information as an alternate cellular carrier may be needed.
- The device was turned off. To verify if your device is on, press one of the front buttons (SOS/Call) for a few seconds and make sure the LEDs light up.
Note: the current device will be deactivated 7 days after receiving the replacement device.
